Job Description
A Digital microfinance bank is seeking dynamic and results-driven Credit & Loan Officers to drive lending operations, assess creditworthiness, and manage loan portfolios. The ideal candidate will be responsible for loan origination, risk assessment, customer relationship management, and ensuring loan repayments, while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Loan Processing & Credit Assessment
- Assess loan applications, review financial documents, and determine creditworthiness.
- Conduct risk analysis and ensure compliance with lending policies and regulatory requirements.
- Process loan approvals and disbursements while maintaining accurate records.
Customer Relationship & Financial Advisory
- Engage with clients to explain loan terms, repayment structures, and financial responsibilities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with individual and business clients.
- Provide financial advisory services to promote responsible borrowing and enhance customer retention.
Loan Portfolio & Risk Management
- Monitor loan repayments and follow up on delinquent accounts to minimize default rates.
- Work closely with internal teams to improve loan products and lending processes.
- Implement strategies to minimize non-performing loans (NPLs) and ensure portfolio quality.
Market Expansion and Revenue Growth
- Identify new lending opportunities and expand the bank’s customer base.
- Promote financial products and services to increase loan uptake.
- Conduct market research to understand customer needs and competitive trends.
Requirements
- Minimum of an HND/Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in credit analysis, loan processing, or financial services.
- Strong knowledge of microfinance lending principles, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer relationship management skills.
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in financial software, Microsoft Office Suite, and loan management systems.
- Ability to work independently and meet lending targets.
